The Bilkent University Scholarships are fully funded awards for master’s and PhD programs, offering one of the highest stipend rates in Turkey. PhD scholarship holders receive a monthly stipend of $600, while master’s scholarship holders receive $450 per month.

Bilkent UNAM provides multiple funding opportunities, including the President Graduate Fellowship, the Scholarship for Young Women, the Bilkent UNAM Graduate Scholarship, and scholarships from externally funded projects. These scholarships cover full tuition and provide education in English for all international students, with no application fee required.

Bilkent University Scholarship will provide the recipient with the following benefits:

PhD Students

Tuition waiver (62.100 TL/year)
Monthly stipend and housing (total of 5.500 TL / month)
Private health insurance
A laptop computer
Meal card (after the PhD qualifier)
The Awardee is expected to disseminate the results of his/her thesis research work being carried out at UNAM, by one of the means of which is intended to be UNAM’s travel support for his/her oral presentation at a well-known/-respected peer-reviewed conference

MS students

Tuition waiver (62.100 TL/year )
Monthly stipend and housing (total of 4.400 TL / month)
Private health insurance
A laptop computer
The Awardee is expected to disseminate the results of his/her thesis research work being carried out at UNAM, by one of the means of which is intended to be UNAM’s travel support for his/her oral presentation at a well-known/-respected peer-reviewed conference

Dormitories are furnished with single beds or bunk beds, desks, desk chairs, bookcases or shelves, wardrobes, wastebaskets, and mini-refrigerators. All rooms have unlimited high-speed internet access at no charge. All dorms have common areas, such as self-cook kitchens/kitchenettes, TV/social lounges, study lounges, self-service laundry and ironing rooms, and game and visitors’ areas or rooms. Central heating and 24-hour continuous hot water are standard, and each floor is further equipped with common bathrooms and restrooms.

Eligibility Criteria for Bilkent University Scholarship

To qualify for Bilkent University Scholarship, candidate must fulfill all of the following requirements below:

Required Language: English. TOEFL IBT (at least 87), IELTS (at least 6.5 average and 5.5 from each section) or Bilkent COPE (at least C).
Eligible Countries: All world countries
BSc graduates or MSC students need at least 2.80/4.00 CGPA at the time of application.
If you are a Turkish citizen resident in Turkey: ALES score is required, <55 (quantitative)
Otherwise; GRE General Test score is required: 153 (quantitative). However, if you are off by a small margin and you have a strong background, we encourage you to apply.
